Hello, my name is Samantha Decker, and I am a French teacher who just happens to be a photographer as well. I enjoy many types of photography…how can I pick just one?

My work has been licensed by such companies as Getty Images, Flickr, and the Walt Disney Company.  My photos of my hometown of Saratoga Springs have been featured in Simply Saratoga Magazine, my photos of my alma mater have been featured in Oswego Alumni Magazine, and my photos of my home-away-from-home, Walt Disney World, have been featured in The Unofficial Guide: The Color Companion to Walt Disney World .

I started Through the Glass in 2013 as a blog to feature some of my photography, as well as offer relevant information and tips about photography and digital imaging.  I also have a blog about teaching French, called The French Corner.

If you'd like to get in touch with me, please use the contact form over at my main website.

Beyond photography and teaching French, I have a passion for travel (I am currently in the process of exploring America's National Parks, and I love traveling to Europe as well), Disney Parks (I was at one point an annual Walt Disney World goer), Old Hollywood movies (I have visited and photographed many of the Old Hollywood historic spots in California), and my cat Franny. All of these passions are connected to my photography to some extent.

Happy reading, and I hope to hear from many of you soon!

  1. Bon jour - comment ca va? i was checking some stats on my own photo blog (Canon Blogger) and saw a linkback to here...thought it sounded familiar but wasn't sure. I vaguely remember connecting with you on Twitter I think, but had not had a chance to stop over and read some of your articles and beautiful photography! Very well done site, and a superb collection of images!
