Québec City in Winter

This past weekend, I traveled to Québec City as a chaperone of a school trip.  While I was there, naturally, I took some photos.  This was my first time visiting Québec City in the winter, so I enjoyed seeing the city covered in a blanket of snow.

2019 WDW Trip Part I: Disney's Hollywood Studios

Those of you who have been reading my blog for awhile now know that I used to be an annual Disney Parks goer.  I recently went to Walt Disney World for the first time in four years, and although it doesn't seem possible after more than 10 trips to the resort, I found lots of new things to photograph.  In this post, I'll share photos I took at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Touring the New York State Capitol and More

Yesterday I chaperoned a field trip to the New York State Museum and Capitol Building and I snapped some photos while I was there.  Even though I've been there before, there's always a new perspective to photograph.

My Top Portraits

Although I don't primarily consider myself a portrait photographer, I've taken a lot of portraits over the years.  In this post I'll share my top ones.  I've also taken a lot of self-portraits, and you can have a look at those here.  Stay tuned for a future post on pet portraits.

My Favorite Monochrome Photos

It's not often I shoot in black and white, but sometimes a photo just looks better in monochrome.  Maybe the colors are drab, or it just needs more drama.  Here are some of my favorite monochrome photos.

My Favorite Hotels to Photograph

A few years ago, I wrote a post about my favorite hotel views.  In this post I'll share my favorite hotels to photograph.  I've been lucky to visit and stay at a lot of neat hotels but I narrowed it down to ten.  Read on to see which ones made the list.

My Most Stolen Photos

As with any photographer who has shared images online, I have had many of my photos stolen.  It's easy for me to track where my photos are being used because I use PIXSY, a service that uses reverse-imaging software to show you where your photos are being used online, and helps make sure you get paid for the uses that are unauthorized.  Back in 2015, I wrote a blog post about my experience using their service.  So what does "stolen" mean, anyway?  By stolen, I mean any use that was not authorized by me.  In my case, some of my older photos were made available under a non-commercial Creative Commons license.  The license stipulates that those photos may be used free of charge as long as credit is given to the photographer and they are not used commercially.  Any commercial or unattributed use is unauthorized.  For the rest of my photos, any use that is not authorized by me beforehand is unauthorized.  In this post, I'll share some of the photos that get stolen the most.  These photos have appeared on social media, on free downloadable wallpaper sites, on commercial websites, and elsewhere.

My Best Photos of 2018

Well, 2018 is in the books, so it's time for my annual Best Of post, where I share my 25 best photos from the year.  You can view my best of 2017, 2016, 2015, and 2014.  As always, 2018 presented me with a bevy of photographic opportunities, so it was hard to whittle it down to just 25.  Without further ado, here they are, in chronological order!
