Lake Louise Area (Canadian Rockies Trip Part IV)
This is the fourth and final installment in my posts of photos I took in the Canadian Rockies this summer. Be sure to read my posts on Banff, Yoho and Kootenay, and Jasper. Additionally, you can find more photos of Lake Louise in my 2015 posts here and here.
Before we get to Lake Louise, we have to look at Moraine Lake. I had my first canoe ride on the lake while I was there. Doesn't it just look otherworldly?
The lake looks very different depending on what part of it you're on.
A look back at the boat house and lodge.
The canoes looks so pretty all lined up.
A trip down the Icefields Parkway is not complete without a stop at Peyto Lake!
I snapped this photo of a bear crossing the Icefields Parkway.
In Lake Louise, I used my telephoto lens to get this photo of the boat house from across the lake.
Obligatory pensive/meditative photo looking at the lake.
The boat house up close.
The lounge in the early morning before anyone is there.
A sunrise trip to Moraine Lake got me this photo. It's not as wide as I would have liked, but there were a lot more people there than last time, so I had to crop them out.
After sunrise, I took this photo of the canoes on the lake.
Back at Lake Louise, I got this shot from the hotel room.
I enjoyed a canoe ride on Lake Louise and got this shot.
Looking back at the Fairmont.
I took this long exposure of Lake Louise from the hotel room.
The lake looks so peaceful and serene here, you would never think that so many tourists are walking just behind me!
A walk around the lake yielded this photo.
A look back at the Fairmont at dusk.
One of my favorite photos is this one of the boat house.
That concludes my series on my Canadian Rockies trip! I hope you enjoyed looking at these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
