A Day in Boston



Last weekend I met up with my friend Tara in Boston for a day filed with sightseeing.  We visited the New England Aquarium, walked the entire Freedom Trail, and climbed the Bunker Hill Monument.  Here are some of the photos I took that day.

Visiting the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge



This weekend I visited the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge in Wilmington, NY with some photography friends.  The last time I was there was in 2013, and they've made a lot of changes there since then.  It was a unique opportunity to photograph wolves, coyotes, bears, owls, and other species.

4 Ways to Capture Movement and Motion in Your Photos



Movement and motion can easily make an ordinary photo more compelling. When I’m out taking photos, I often look for ways to introduce this into my shots. They all require a certain amount of skill, but with a little practice, you’ll be catching the movement and motion bug in no time.

Best of 2017



2017 has officially come to a close, so I can now share my top 25 photos of 2017.  This year I had the trip of a lifetime when I traveled around the American Southwest, I got a nice taste of New England while visiting Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Cape Cod, I captured some sights in the Adirondacks, and I also captured a few photos in my own hometown of Saratoga Springs.  As always, it's a difficult task to narrow it down to just 25, but here they are!
