I recently returned from a trip to Walt Disney World, so in this post and forthcoming ones, I'll be showcasing some of my favorite photos from the parks and resorts.

Creative Commons (CC) is an organization founded in 2001 which creates licenses for content creators to apply to their work. These licenses, which vary in the amount of rights they grant users, allow content consumers to redistribute the creative work free of charge without having to seek permission, as long as they give appropriate credit to the creator. As popular as CC has come to be in recent years, it is still largely misunderstood by both licensors and licensees alike. In this post, I'll highlight some of the pros and cons of using CC both as a photographer and as a business or website owner (since I have experience at both ends). I won't explain CC itself in too much depth, so if you're new to the concept, read a little more about the different licenses here.
